Welcoming you in with open arms, The Open House showcases the best of Indonesian home cooking and Western crowd-pleasers with a groovy restaurant to match.

The restaurant sits pretty in the entrance of The Open House hotel. Its cool bamboo structure overlooks the hotel's swimming pool and pristine gardens, making it a perfect 'zen' get away from the bustling city. Just see if you can resist a refreshing dip after dessert!

Sample some of the best seafood around for starters with their tuna tartar or crispy king prawns. Stay on track with some wild barramundi or tuna steak for mains. Alternatively, go for a meat dish like the baby pork ribs, beef rendang or traditional beef soup.

If you want something you know you'll adore, look no further than their pizza and pasta dishes that celebrate the classics like the good ol' Margherita, carbonara and seafood spaghetti.

The Open House will also be offering twice-weekly live acoustic entertainment from the end of August 2019. Please check their facebook page for details.

Lovely restaurant a couple of minutes from the beach front. The service was good and so too the food. My partner chose the Balinese Rijsttafel and for my entree I had the Yellowfin tuna salad which was presented well and tasted lovely and fresh. The entrees with the Rijsttafel both the fish soup and spring rolls were great, fresh and with lots of flavour. The mains tasted great and presented well and the Grilled Barramundi that I had was cooked well. Desserts; the coconut pana-cotta was very well set so not fantastic but the Banana crepes were lovely. All in all I would certainly recommend you give this a go if you want to get away from the everyday beach fare!
