Bali truly lives up to its hippie name at Herbs & Stones, a free-spirited eatery that serves food to heal and nourish. And it sure is tasty.
It's a lush spot with the outside greens hugging every inch of the restaurant, transporting you to a wilderness far away from those nagging worries. Grab yourself a patio seat and soak in the nature that is at your very fingertips.
Start with fresher-than-fresh tuna carpaccio, stir-fried potato with a seaweed crust, stuffed with tuna tartar (quite a mouthful) or black ink pasta with a prawn skewer. The meaty mains come in the form of beef stroganoff, an Australian Angus tenderloin, chicken katsu and mango curry and a crispy duck leg confit.
From the mighty ocean is a barramundi fillet and a Balinese seafood curry. Vegetarians will delight in the vegetable curry and their white turnip tagliatelle which will certainly be a first for many! So sit back, relax and let the healing process commence.
